In customer service, tracking number means: A code given to a parcel by the courier so that the customer and the seller can follow online where it is.

How it is used

Sent in the shipping confirmation email. Customers enter it on the courier's website, and agents ask for it to check the delivery status. Also called a tracking code or tracking ID.
