1. Scope of the service
Okuzeka is a reading and language-learning application that lets you upload and read supported documents, view contextual word meanings, translate sentences, create review cards, save notes, and track reading progress. Features, limits, and available plans may change over time.
2. Accounts and access
You are responsible for your account, login credentials, and all activity under your account. You must keep your password secure and must not share access with others. We may suspend or restrict access where we detect abuse, fraud, automated misuse, or behavior that harms the service.
3. User content and uploaded files
You may upload files and create notes, cards, and other reading data inside the product. You remain responsible for the legality of uploaded content and for having the rights needed to upload, process, and read it through the service. You must not upload unlawful, infringing, or abusive material.
4. AI-generated meanings and translations
Okuzeka uses AI to provide contextual word meanings, sentence translations, and reading assistance. These results are intended to help your reading workflow and may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. You should not rely on them as legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
5. Plans, billing, and Merchant of Record
If you purchase a paid plan, payment processing, tax handling, invoicing, and subscription billing may be handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record or authorised reseller. This means the charge may be processed by Paddle, and Paddle's buyer-facing checkout and billing terms may apply to the transaction in addition to these product terms.
5A. Community book sales and revenue split
Where Okuzeka enables community book sales, each sale may be subject to a platform commission. In the current product design, 30% of the sale amount is reserved as the platform share and 70% is allocated to the publisher or seller before payment processor costs, taxes, chargebacks, or other applicable deductions. Buyer-side promotional reading credits may also be granted as part of a purchase campaign or standard purchase reward.
6. Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation
Paid plans may renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing tools made available in your purchase confirmation flow, your billing page, or via Paddle's buyer support flow. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless applicable law requires otherwise.
7. Refunds and withdrawal rights
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and, where applicable, Paddle's buyer refund framework. Local mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. In some regions you may have a statutory withdrawal right for certain digital purchases. Where no mandatory refund right applies, refunds may be limited or discretionary.
8. Fair use and prohibited conduct
You may not abuse the service, reverse engineer protected areas, attempt to bypass plan limits, scrape or overload the system, interfere with other users, or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create operational or legal risk.
9. Service availability and liability
We aim to keep Okuzeka available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability of every feature, or perfect output quality. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an 'as available' basis and our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
