In e-commerce, tracking number means: A unique code a carrier gives to a parcel so that the seller and the customer can follow where it is until delivery.

How it is used

Appears in shipping confirmation emails and in many customer service chats. Stores send, share or upload the tracking number; customers track an order with it. Also called tracking code or tracking ID.
