Meaning in product management, with examples

/rɪˈtenʃn/nounCore term

In product management, retention means: The share of users or customers who keep using a product over time, for example the percentage still active 30 days after signing up.

How it is used

Example sentences

  1. Day 30 retention is 18%, which is too low for a subscription app.

  2. The new reminders improved retention for users in their first month.
