Share of voice
Meaning in marketing, with examples
In marketing, share of voice means: A brand's share of all the advertising or media attention in its category compared with competitors, often measured by ad spend or by mentions.
In Turkish: ses payı, SOV, reklam görünürlük payı
How it is used
Shortened to SOV. Media agencies compare share of voice with market share, and a brand whose SOV is higher than its market share is often expected to grow. Online, it can also mean a brand's share of social media mentions.
