Extension of time
Meaning in civil engineering & construction, with examples
In civil engineering & construction, extension of time means: Extra time added to the contract completion date because of delays the contractor is not responsible for, such as client changes or exceptional weather.
In Turkish: süre uzatımı, ek süre
How it is used
Abbreviated EOT. The contractor submits an EOT claim with evidence, often a delay analysis of the programme. If it is granted, the contractor is protected from delay damages for that period.
