RFI
Meaning in civil engineering & construction, with examples
In civil engineering & construction, RFI means: Request for information: a formal written question from the contractor to the designer or engineer when drawings or specifications are unclear, missing or in conflict.
In Turkish: bilgi talebi, bilgi talep formu
How it is used
RFIs are raised, numbered, tracked in an RFI log and answered by an agreed date. A late response can delay the work and may support a claim for extra time.
