In civil engineering & construction, progress payment means: A payment made to the contractor during the project, usually every month, for the value of work completed so far, minus retention and earlier payments.

In Turkish: hakediş, ara hakediş, ara ödeme

How it is used

The contractor submits a monthly payment application; the engineer or quantity surveyor measures the work and certifies the amount. In FIDIC contracts the document is an Interim Payment Certificate (IPC).
