Labor time
Meaning in automotive, with examples
In automotive, labor time means: The time allowed or charged for a repair job. Manufacturers publish standard labor times that dealers use for customer quotes and warranty claims.
In Turkish: işçilik süresi, standart işçilik süresi
How it is used
Common in service departments. Labor time is multiplied by the labor rate per hour to get the labor cost; flat-rate time is paid by the book, not by the actual hours. British English spells it labour.
