Meaning in law, with examples
In law, hereby means: A formal word meaning 'by means of this document or statement', used when writing or saying something itself has a legal effect.
In Turkish: işbu (belge/yazı) ile, bu vesileyle, bununla
How it is used
Typical of notices, contracts and official declarations: 'We hereby give notice…', 'The Seller hereby assigns…', 'I hereby certify that…'. It is placed just before the main verb. Plain-English drafters often remove it, because the sentence works without it.
