Proof of address
Meaning in immigration & visas, with examples
In immigration & visas, proof of address means: A recent official document showing your name and home address, such as a utility bill, a bank letter or a tenancy agreement.
In Turkish: adres kanıtı, ikametgah belgesi, adres belgesi
How it is used
Banks, phone companies, doctors and registration offices ask for it. Newcomers often get stuck in a circle: you need proof of address to open a bank account, and a bank letter to prove your address. Documents usually must be dated within the last few months.
