Total addressable market
Meaning in entrepreneurship & startups, with examples
In entrepreneurship & startups, total addressable market means: The total yearly revenue a product could earn if every possible customer in its market bought it, used to show how big the opportunity is.
In Turkish: toplam erişilebilir pazar, toplam pazar büyüklüğü
How it is used
Usually called TAM and often shown with SAM (serviceable addressable market, the part you can actually serve) and SOM (serviceable obtainable market, the part you can realistically win). Investors check that the TAM is large enough and sensibly calculated, not just copied from a report.
