Landed cost
Meaning in e-commerce, with examples
In e-commerce, landed cost means: The full cost of getting a product to its destination: the product price plus shipping, insurance, customs duty, taxes and other fees.
In Turkish: toplam teslim maliyeti, nihai maliyet
How it is used
Used in two ways: importers calculate the landed cost of stock arriving at their warehouse, and cross-border stores show customers a landed cost at checkout so there are no surprise fees on delivery.
Example sentences
Once we added duties, the landed cost of each bag was 30% higher than the factory price.
We show the landed cost at checkout, so UK customers pay nothing more at the door.
