In e-commerce, HS code means: A number from the international Harmonized System that classifies a product for customs and decides which duty rate applies to it.

In Turkish: GTİP kodu, gümrük tarife kodu, HS kodu

How it is used

Needed on customs declarations and shipping documents for international parcels. Sellers find, check and add the HS code for each product. The first six digits are the same worldwide; countries add more digits for their own tariffs.
