DDP

Meaning in e-commerce, with examples

abbreviationAdvanced term

In e-commerce, DDP means: Short for delivered duty paid: a shipping term under which the seller pays all delivery costs, including import duties and taxes, so the buyer pays nothing on arrival.

In Turkish: gümrük vergileri ödenmiş teslim, DDP

How it is used

An Incoterms rule also used informally in cross-border e-commerce. Stores ship DDP so customers are not surprised by fees at the door. The alternative is DAP (delivered at place), where the buyer pays import charges on delivery.
