In mobile app development, stack trace means: A list of the function calls that were active when an error or crash happened, which shows developers exactly where in the code it occurred.

How it is used

Developers read, paste and share stack traces in tickets and chat. Release builds produce memory addresses or shortened names, so iOS stack traces must be symbolicated with dSYM files and Android ones deobfuscated with mapping files.
