In mobile app development, navigation bar means: On iOS, the bar at the top of a screen that shows the title, a back button and action buttons; on Android, the name also refers to the system bar with the back and home controls.

How it is used

iOS developers customize the navigation bar's title, color and buttons (bar button items). On Android, people talk about the system navigation bar or gesture navigation at the bottom of the screen. Often shortened to 'nav bar'.
