DPU
Meaning in international trade, with examples
In international trade, DPU means: Delivered at Place Unloaded: an Incoterms rule in which the seller delivers the goods to the named destination and also unloads them there, bearing the risk until unloading is complete.
In Turkish: boşaltılmış olarak yerinde teslim, DPU teslim
How it is used
Introduced in Incoterms 2020 to replace DAT (Delivered at Terminal). It is the only rule in which the seller must unload at destination. Import clearance and duties stay with the buyer.
Example sentences
We agreed on DPU the customer's site, so our crane team will unload the machine.
Is unloading included, or is it DAP instead of DPU?
