Why matching works for vocabulary

Matching forces you to recall a meaning and reject five similar-looking options at the same time. That small effort of choosing is what moves a word from "I have seen this" to "I know this". Each board mixes parts of speech from your chosen level, so you cannot guess by grammar alone.

From matching to reading

A match game is a warm-up. Words really stick when you meet them again in a story, where the sentence shows how they are used. After the game, check the words you missed, then look for them in a book at your level.
