Speed only counts if you understand

Skimming a text in ten seconds is easy; understanding it is the point. Reading Sprint rewards accuracy first: speed only adds a bonus when you answer the questions correctly. Typical comfortable reading speed in a second language is around 100–200 words per minute.

Read more, read better

The fastest way to improve both speed and comprehension is to read a lot of material that is slightly easy for you. Short daily reading sessions build the automatic recognition that makes longer books enjoyable.
