Naming convention
Meaning in software engineering, with examples
In software engineering, naming convention means: An agreed set of rules for how to name things in code, such as variables, files and branches, so that names look consistent across a project.
In Turkish: isimlendirme kuralı, adlandırma standardı
How it is used
Examples are camelCase for variables in JavaScript, snake_case in Python and PascalCase for class names. Reviewers point out names that 'don't follow our naming convention'. Many conventions are enforced automatically by linters.
