Network request
Meaning in mobile app development, with examples
In mobile app development, network request means: A message an app sends over the internet to a server, for example to load a list or save a form, together with the response it waits for.
In Turkish: ağ isteği, network isteği
How it is used
Developers make, cancel and retry network requests, set timeouts and show loading states. On iOS they usually use URLSession, on Android libraries such as Retrofit and OkHttp. iOS blocks plain HTTP by default through App Transport Security, so requests normally use HTTPS.
