Unit price
Meaning in international trade, with examples
In international trade, unit price means: The price of one item or one unit of measure, such as a piece, kilo, metre or box, before it is multiplied by the quantity.
In Turkish: birim fiyat
How it is used
Appears as a column on quotations and on proforma and commercial invoices, next to quantity and total amount. It is always shown with a currency and usually an Incoterms rule: 'unit price USD 2.35 FOB'. Buyers often ask for a lower unit price for larger quantities.
Example sentences
