In parallel
Meaning in electrical & electronics engineering, with examples
In electrical & electronics engineering, in parallel means: Connected across the same two points, so each component has the same voltage and the current divides between them. The total resistance becomes lower.
In Turkish: paralel, paralel bağlı
How it is used
Used for components, batteries, cables and generators: 'two capacitors in parallel', 'run the generators in parallel'. Batteries in parallel give more capacity at the same voltage. A voltmeter is always connected in parallel with what it measures.
