Analytical balance
Meaning in chemistry, with examples
In chemistry, analytical balance means: A very sensitive electronic scale, usually reading to 0.1 mg, kept inside a glass draft shield so that air currents do not disturb the reading.
In Turkish: analitik terazi, hassas terazi
How it is used
Used to weigh samples and standards accurately. You tare or zero the balance, weigh by difference, close the doors and wait for the reading to settle. In English you 'weigh' a sample; the 'balance' is the instrument.
Example sentences

Close the doors of the analytical balance before you note the mass.
