In web development, tag means: A piece of HTML code in angle brackets, such as <h1> or </p>, that marks where an element starts or ends.

In Turkish: etiket, tag

How it is used

Developers talk about opening and closing tags, tags without a closing pair such as <img>, and specific ones like the title tag, meta tags and script tags. Outside HTML, 'tag' can also mean a label on a blog post or a version marker in Git.
