Double diamond
Meaning in UX/UI design, with examples
In UX/UI design, double diamond means: A design process model with four phases, discover, define, develop and deliver, drawn as two diamonds to show thinking that first opens up and then narrows down.
In Turkish: çift elmas modeli, double diamond
How it is used
Introduced by the UK Design Council in the mid-2000s. The first diamond is about finding the right problem, the second about finding the right solution. Designers use it to explain where a project is: 'we're still in the first diamond'.
