In insurance, green card means: An international certificate showing that a vehicle has the minimum third-party insurance required to drive in the countries of the Green Card system.

In Turkish: yeşil kart, yeşil kart sigortası

How it is used

Needed by Turkish drivers taking their car to Europe and many neighbouring countries. Drivers get one from an insurer or agent and show it at the border. The system is run by a national bureau in each member country.
