In business english, report to means: To have someone as your direct manager, the person who gives you work, approves your decisions and reviews your performance.

How it is used

Used to describe reporting lines: 'I report to the head of finance', 'Who does she report to?' In org charts, the people directly below a manager are called their direct reports.
