Test suite
Meaning in software engineering, with examples
In software engineering, test suite means: A collection of tests that are run together, for example all the unit tests of a project or every test for the payment module.
In Turkish: test paketi, test takımı, test seti
How it is used
People run, extend or speed up the test suite. 'The full suite takes 20 minutes' is a common complaint. CI pipelines run the test suite on every pull request, and a green suite means that all tests passed.
Example sentences
The whole test suite passes locally, but two tests fail on CI.
Let's split the test suite so the slow integration tests run only at night.
Common collocations
- run the test suite
- full test suite
- the test suite passes
- speed up the test suite
