Event sourcing
Meaning in software engineering, with examples
In software engineering, event sourcing means: Keeping a sequence of domain events as the authoritative record and deriving application state from those events.
In Turkish: olay kaynaklı durum saklama
How it is used
Used when history and reconstruction matter. Merely publishing events does not make a system event-sourced.
Example sentences
With event sourcing, the account balance is rebuilt from the recorded credit and debit events.
The event history, rather than only the latest balance, is the authoritative record.
We replayed the history from event sourcing to build a new reporting projection.
The same stored events can produce a new read model without repeating real-world actions.
