Credit score
Meaning in finance & banking, with examples
In finance & banking, credit score means: A number that shows how likely a person is to repay debts, calculated from their credit history, such as past loans, card use and late payments.
In Turkish: kredi notu, kredi skoru
How it is used
Used in retail lending and by customers. Lenders check a credit score before approving a loan or a card; late payments damage or lower it, and paying on time improves it. Credit bureaus calculate the score.
