Vitality test
Meaning in dentistry, with examples
In dentistry, vitality test means: A test that checks whether the nerve of a tooth still responds, usually by applying cold or a small electric current. It helps show whether the pulp is healthy, inflamed or dead.
In Turkish: vitalite testi, canlılık testi
How it is used
Common tests are the cold test with refrigerant spray and the electric pulp test (EPT). Strictly, these are sensibility tests, because they measure nerve response rather than blood supply, and many textbooks now use that name.

Let's do a vitality test with cold spray on this tooth and its neighbors.
