In cloud computing & devops, infrastructure as code means: Managing servers, networks and other cloud resources by writing configuration files that tools read and apply, instead of clicking through a console by hand.

How it is used

Shortened to IaC, said 'I-A-C'. The files live in Git, are reviewed in pull requests and applied by a pipeline. Popular tools are Terraform, OpenTofu, AWS CloudFormation, Pulumi and Ansible.
