In child development & early education, individual education plan means: A written plan for a child with special educational needs that sets out their targets, the support they will receive and how their progress will be reviewed.

How it is used

Shortened to IEP. In England many settings now use names such as SEN support plan, and children with complex needs may have an EHC plan. In the US, IEP means Individualized Education Program, a legal document under special education law.
