Dear Camila, hello from the ! This is you, ten years ago. Today our English teacher, Mr. Bauer, asked us to write letters to at twenty-five. He is going to keep them for ten years and then send them to us. I hope this one on your birthday!
Right now, I live in a small apartment with Mom, my little brother and our cat, Biscuit. My bedroom walls are purple, and there are everywhere. My best friend is Noor. We walk to school together every morning, and we talk about everything.
I have big plans for us. Last month, my drawing of Biscuit won a at school, and now I know what I want to do. After , I'm going to study art. Then I'm going to draw pictures for children's books. Is that your life now?
Maybe you will read this and laugh. Maybe your plans are different now, and that's OK. People , and you know a lot of things that I don't know yet.
But I hope some things will never change. I hope you draw every day, even when you are busy. I hope you and Noor are still best friends. And I hope you still call Mom every Sunday.
Please do one thing for me: write a letter to yourself at thirty-five. I you will be happy to read it. Love from the past, Camila
