Aynı oyuncunun tek bir maçta attığı üç gol; sol ayak, sağ ayak ve kafayla atılan üç gole perfect hat-trick denir.

Oyuncu hat-trick yapar (score/complete a hat-trick) ve geleneğe göre maç topunu eve götürür. İki gol atmış oyuncu için spikerler "on a hat-trick" (hat-trick'in eşiğinde) der. İfade krikete dayanır. Türkçede de hat-trick denir ve "het-trik" diye okunur.
