Ortalamaları karşılaştıran hipotez testi: bir grubun ortalamasını sabit bir değerle, iki bağımsız grubun ortalamalarını ya da aynı kişilerin iki ölçümünü karşılaştırır.
English: A hypothesis test that compares means: one group's mean with a fixed value, the means of two independent groups, or two measurements of the same people.
Nerede ve nasıl kullanılır?
Üç temel türü vardır: tek örneklem, bağımsız örneklemler ve eşleştirilmiş (bağımlı) örneklemler t testi. Sonuç t(sd) = değer, p = … biçiminde raporlanır; örneğin 't(58) = 2.14, p = .037'. İki grubun varyansları eşit olmadığında Welch t testi kullanılır.
