In software engineering, dashboard means: A screen that shows the most important metrics and charts about a system in one place, so engineers can see its health at a glance.

How it is used

Engineers build, share and check dashboards, often in Grafana, Datadog or CloudWatch. During an incident people say 'look at the dashboard' or 'the dashboard is all red'.
