UAT, yazılımda kullanıcı kabul testi anlamına gelir.
User acceptance testing (kullanıcı kabul testi) ifadesinin kısaltması: yazılım canlıya çıkmadan önce gerçek kullanıcıların ya da müşterinin ihtiyaçlarını karşılayıp karşılamadığını kontrol ettiği son test aşaması.
English: Short for user acceptance testing: the last testing stage, in which real users or the client check that the software meets their needs before it goes live.
Nerede ve nasıl kullanılır?
Harf harf okunur (U-A-T). Hem aşamayı ('we're in UAT') hem de ortamı ('deploy it to UAT') ifade edebilir. Müşterinin sürümden önce onay ('sign-off') vermesi gereken ajans, bankacılık ve kurumsal projelerde yaygındır. Türkiye'de de bankalarda ve kurumsal projelerde 'UAT ortamı' ifadesi çok kullanılır.
