SD-WAN
Meaning in software engineering, with examples
In software engineering, SD-WAN means: Short for software-defined wide area network: an approach that manages a company's WAN links centrally through software and sends each application over the best available link, such as internet, 4G or MPLS.
In Turkish: yazılım tanımlı geniş alan ağı, SD-WAN
How it is used
Said 'S-D-wan'. Companies deploy, migrate to and roll out SD-WAN; engineers set application policies, for example sending video calls over the link with the lowest latency. Branch devices are often installed with zero-touch provisioning: someone plugs them in and they download their own configuration.

The SD-WAN policy sends voice traffic over the fibre line and backups over 4G.
