Object, dilbilimde nesne anlamına gelir.
Bir fiilin etkilediği ya da bir edattan sonra gelen ad öbeği veya zamir; örneğin 'She sent the email' cümlesindeki 'the email'.
English: A noun phrase or pronoun that receives the action of a verb or follows a preposition, such as 'the email' in 'She sent the email'.
Nerede ve nasıl kullanılır?
Dilbilgisi kitapları doğrudan nesneyi (direct object: She sent the email) dolaylı nesneden (indirect object: She sent me the email) ayırır. Yalnızca geçişli fiiller nesne alır. İngilizcede nesne normalde fiilden sonra gelir. Türk okul dilbilgisinde dolaylı nesne yerine dolaylı tümleç terimi kullanılır.
Örnek cümleler
In 'She gave the students a test', 'a test' is the direct object and 'the students' is the indirect object.
'She gave the students a test' cümlesinde 'a test' doğrudan nesne, 'the students' dolaylı nesnedir.
Object pronouns come after the verb: 'I saw him', not 'I him saw'.
Nesne zamirleri fiilden sonra gelir: 'I him saw' değil, 'I saw him'.
