Intercept, matematikte eksenleri kestiği nokta, kesişim noktası anlamına gelir.
Bir grafiğin eksenlerden birini kestiği nokta; y = 2x + 3 doğrusunun y eksenini kestiği nokta 3'tür, çünkü doğru y eksenini (0, 3)'te keser.

Nerede ve nasıl kullanılır?
Genellikle 'x-intercept' ve 'y-intercept' şeklinde kullanılır. Grafiğin y eksenini kestiği noktayı bulmak için x = 0, x eksenini kestiği noktaları bulmak için ise y = 0 alınır. y = mx + b biçimine slope-intercept form (eğim-kesişim biçimi) denir.
