Nerede ve nasıl kullanılır?
Yol tarifi istenir (ask for directions), verilir (give) ya da takip edilir (follow). Tipik kalıplar şunlardır: go straight on (dümdüz gidin), turn left (sola dönün), take the second right (ikinci sağa sapın), it's on your left (solunuzda kalıyor), it's next to the bank (bankanın yanında). Bu anlamda kelime genellikle çoğul kullanılır.
