Decimal point, matematikte ondalık ayırıcı, ondalık virgül anlamına gelir.
Bir sayının tam kısmını ondalık kısmından ayıran nokta, örneğin 3.75'te olduğu gibi; İngilizcede nokta kullanılan yerde Türkçede virgül kullanılır.

Nerede ve nasıl kullanılır?
Sayılar 'point' kelimesiyle okunur ve noktadan sonraki rakamlar tek tek söylenir: 3.75 'three point seven five' diye okunur, 'three point seventy-five' denmez. Sorularda sık sık 'give your answer to two decimal places' (cevabı virgülden sonra iki basamakla verin) ifadesi geçer.
